Siiri,
Stop wearing your barrel out and your mind out and start shooting that thing,
it will be fine, I just saw how Jason's 204 is shooting at 300 yards, you can't allow that little 20 beat your 6br, work up a load and kick his butt ;)
Wayne.

;D ;D 8)

Sometimes it can't be helped Wayne.
Every once in awhile one of those Sav 204's will run with a 6BR or run em right over.
Every once in awhile ;D

Siiri, last week I did my break-in on Savage 12 in 6BR, I didn't use any ammonia or copper dissolving substance, I cleaned barrel with J&B, then cleaned it all out with KG-3 spray, fired first shot, cleaned all the carbon out with KG-1, then cleaned copper which didn't get embedded in micro-fractures with KG-2, then flashed all out with KG-3, dry patches till all clean fire another shot. I did this until no copper was observed, then I started 3 shot clean, same way I got to 5 shot clean. It took 40 rounds to complete break in, however, it still needs cleaning after 10 shots.
As far as accuracy 0.5" - 0.6" all I got from it, and its chamber needs to be re-chambered to many tool marks in it.

It's lapping, or the dumpster.
You can clean all the copper out from every single shot fired in a barrel, till the barrel's burned out. But until you fix the ills in there, it will just continue to copper foul, at an acceptable rate, or not.
Thats not to say break-in isn't needed. Just that shooting and cleaning and shooting isn't 'breaking in' anything. You must have wear to break-in. Controlled wear.

Siiri, how's bedding on your rifle, does it use pillars, if so you might not have proper pressure/weight distribution, on my pillars had no contact with action.
