6BR Heavy Powder Fouling with Varget?

I use Varget with 6BR and 6BRDX (similar to Dasher). By using Wipe-Out, clean-up is fairly quick and easy.

The inventor of Wipe-out says that, with multiple applications over time, the barrel acquires a very thin coating that reduces fouling and adherence of hard carbon. I can't verify that. All I can say is people are shocked at how little brushing I need to do, even with Varget.

Method is start to clean barrel at the range while barrel is still warm, using 5-6 SOAKING WET patches of your favorite solvent. Then I apply Wipe-Out Foam (1st application), and wait 15-20 minutes. After the bubbles have dissipated, I apply Wipe-Out Foam a second time, plug barrel muzzle and chamber, then drive home. (I use a vertical Airglide case so the Wipe-Out doesn't dribble into foam padding.)

Cleaning completed at home 4-5 hours later.

Here is something to think about. There is how dirty, and there is how hard it is to get out of the barrel. Some time back I was asking a top shooter about RL10 in a PPC, because I had heard that it is very dirty. He told me that, yes he gets a lot of black stuff out on the first patches, but that it comes out relatively easy, with the result that the barrel is not more time consuming to clean. Is there anything like this for the medium rate powders that are mentioned in this thread, or are we talking dirty and time consuming to get out? As with anything relating to barrel cleaning, it is probably best to post on this if you actually have and use a bore scope. Everyone else is just guessing.

Varget, R#15, H4895, and xbr 8208 cooks on carbon real hard...shoot your barrel 60 rounds as a test to your favorite Mo Jo solution. Purchase a bore scope, become your own expert.

Lots of snake oil out there with high and mighty claims.,

Obviously, "Clean" means different things to different people.
