Lost another good one Neil Jones

What a loss it is to shooting community and I'm sure to his family as well. Rest in peace Neil.

We were on our way to Penns to shoot and stopped by his shop he took us to his indoor bench shooting room and he let us shoot a couple of his rifles he was nice and knew the game well..Rest his soul

Neil Jones of Neil Jones Custom Products passed away on April 4, 2026. Neil made great dies and powder measures and other shooting related tools. Also did gunsmithing. Prayers to the family.
Yes we lost a very good one . Time to him a lot of times . He made products I couldn’t get anyplace else . R.I.P. Neal you will be sorely missed .

I first met Neil when I was writing for Precision Shooting Magazine in 1984, IIRC. I bought one of his measures and a set of his dies for my 30-40 Krag. After starting with a Lyman Tong Tool and a cast bullet mould, I did not know how accurate that old rifle could be using his die set. I have several sets, each made the rifle I shot more accurate and consistent.
Neil served his country, and us in the shooting community well. He was a gentleman, in the finest sense of the word.

We here are greatly diminished...
