Looks like some of the assets of Remington have been sold.

Call me an optimist, but I can't wait to see what Ruger can do with the Marlin line.
Exactly, can you imagine the quality and fit and finish of the Rumilin Guns? IDK if it will ever get mack to the old JM Marlin guns but the Remlin guns while accurate and function well are kinda rough

Yep Page 2 of the 1498 page document lists who got what. Roundhill is paying $13 million.

Roundhill Group, LLC as the Successful Bidder pursuant to the terms of the Asset Purchase Agreement attached hereto as Exhibit C with respect to the non-Marlin Firearms Business; and Huntsman Holdings, LLC and Century Arms, Inc. as the Backup Bidders thereto pursuant to the terms of the Asset Purchase Agreement attached hereto as Exhibit D with respect to certain Firearms Business IP assets and Exhibit E with respect to certain non-Marlin Firearms Business inventory, respectively;

Ruger is paying $30 million for Marlin
Sierra $30.5 Mil for Barnes

I tried to find something about Dakota but got a head ache.

According to the information I see online, Roundhill Group is a Property Management Group based in Round Hill, VA. WTH would they purchase a firearms company? Who's money is behind this group? $13 Million is cheap!
It is quite possible that this group will buy the firearms assets of Remington brand, dispose of all gunmaking machinery and sell off the properties. As far as property goes I assume since Remington had a deal with the city of Huntsville, AL that allowed the city to repossess the factory there it will not be part of the sale to Round Hill.
I don't see this sale to be a positive for either Remington brand or the employees, especially the IIlon employees. Huntsman Holdings is owned by the Huntsman family (AKA former Gov. Huntsman in Utah).
I believe Marlin to be in quite capable hands with Ruger, as well as Vista getting the Remington ammo business.

I have an older marlin XL7 by Remington in 26-06. It’s my primo hunting gun. It is a shooter! The quality is not the old 700s but just as good as the new 700s.

For $13 million I can only assume that Roundhill, a real estate holding company, just purchased the real estate portion of Remington. I'd think that the brand name and equipment would be worth far more.

Google the principal for Roundhill listed in the document. I think you might find it to be a hedge fund based in FL.

I didn't know Remington had even owned Barnes, my favorite hunting bullet. At least Sierra can recommend a hunting bullet now for tough game. Sierra had actually done so in the past, now they have one of their own.

There was another Roundhill Group that is shown dissolved in 2017. There is also a Roundhill Capital which appears to be based in UK. The "backup" list is Huntsman and Century Arms. I wonder what role they will ultimately play in controlling a new company to produce Remington products?
Would not have surprised me it Bloomberg had bought it all just to shut it down.
See the news article from an outlet in the Ilon area:

They report it is indeed the property management group from VA that won the bid.

If I remember correctly, Remington paid $26 million for Marlin along with H&R, which Marlin owned by then.

Yeah. Intriguing. Looking at Roundhill's website, operating a mfg facility of any kind is way out of their area. I did see Roundhill is expanding into commercial space - but the factory in NY doesn't look like it's prime - especially the area. I'm not aware of a booming trend in upstate NY for mfg.

The thought does occur that maybe Roundtree is acting kind of like a front man and the real interest is yet to be seen. I'd give this <10% probability.
