Looks like some of the assets of Remington have been sold.

l can't lmagine a worse situation for Remington Ammo or the American shooter/hunter having Vista 0utdoors the new owner of ANOTHER ammo company. l see VISTA shutting Remi Ammo down FOREVER. The end result being Greater Demand/Higher Prices due to LOWER SUPPLY of ammo and components. l believe Vista likely controls/owns two-thirds of Ammo/Component production capacity in this country. They own FEDERAL, CCI, SPEER, ALLIENT, RCBS, LAKE CITY ARSENAL. And NOW Remington Ammo. With heightened tension, violence, along with the possibly of a WACKO SOCIALIST Administration DC we are in for a rough MASSAGE with an 'UNHappy Ending' and NO kiss:(

That's quite a crystal ball you have there.

The left has not been able to close the gun companies through legislation so they are doing it through debt and the courts. Holding companies buy up the companies and saddle them with debt and the trial lawyers sue them at every opportunity. Ask yourself who owns the holding companies and where their loyalties are? What party do they fund? This election and the Supreme Court nomination have tremendous consequences.

Well said Tom! A New York friend told me that back in April the Remington Plant in Ilion offered to build ventilators for the Fed Govt. The Feds said, ''No thanks, we'll get them from China instead". l think Cuomo made Remington close the plant shortly thereafter because of the CHINA VIRUS. He said Remington was a NON-ESSENTIAL lndustry.
The President could have very easily saved Remington Arms and their Ammo Plant with the War Powers Act with the stroke of a pen and a bit of cash. Look what he did for GM. Made them start making ventilators and gave them a couple Hundred Million Dollars for expenses! Nothing for Remington:mad: l don't understand our govt NOT supporting our Arms lndustry. Beretta is almost 500Yrs old. German Arms makers are helped by their govt. Same even in Japan, Belgium, Sweden. Many other countries do the SAME. if Guns and Ammo aren't Essential War lndustries, please tell me which are???

When Mr. Ruger had the controlling interest in Sturm Ruger it was an independent, publicly owned company. After his death, and I don't know when, his family, etc. sold the company to a holding company. Ruger still operates as a publicly owned company but one has to wonder what the future holds.

To further support your point, ask yourself where our Department of Defense gets many ,if not all, of their small caliber gun barrels--50 caliber and smaller? Some years ago I was told all those barrels come from small businesses. My source worked for Badger Barrels at the time.

Papa Bill Ruger died in 2002. Bill Jr passed 2018. l don't know who runs the company now. Bill Ruger made guns, then money. Vernon Speer made boolits, then money. Joyce Hornady made boolits and then money too. Roger Huntington made RCBS presses and dies, then money. ALL these great inventers/businessmen made a product BEFORE money.
it seems now all a business wants to make is MONEY. Most of us were taught the LOVE of money is the root of ALL evil.
What they are doing to Remington is PURE evil .imhop

This guy signed for Roundhill using the title manager. Do a search of his name. He seems to get around.
Attention: Scott Soura Email: soura@roundhillgroup.com 888 SE 3 Avenue, Suite 500 Fort Lauderdale, FL 33316
I found it intriguing that Soura has had his name associated with both Roundhill Holdings and Roundhill Capital. It appears everything he has been tied to has either gone out of business or status inactive. My feeling about the Roundhill deal is that it will bear no fruit for Remington products or employees UNLESS the other two "back-up" players are getting the core of Remington with Roundhill getting the properties. It also appears (if the same guy) he has quite the passion for filing lawsuits.
It also appears that Roundhill Holding was once registered in NV but was dissolved and permanently revoked there.

Remington should have left that utopia many years ago just like magpul left colorado for the same reasons.

I got a hunch it's not over yet with Roundhill.

Good Business Practice is all about the cash flow and dedicating your profits to the company before filling your own pockets. Return on Investment has to be in the black,
you can't keep operating in the red and if you are then you need to find out where you are bleeding your profits and FIX it. To file for bankruptcy and then crash the company
again a few years later indicates poor leadership. Vista Outdoors made a good move to purchase Remington Ammo simply because of the sister companies they own.
They will be successful and might start putting Speer Bullets in Remington Brass ignited by CCI primers:eek:;)

All good points. Couple those with the fact that Vista’s ammunition brands are very creative and forward looking as well as efficiently managed and those attributes can be passed along to the Remington brand. A little noticed fact is that Vista also acquired the Remington brand and trademarks which would seem to indicate that any Remington firearms in the future will accrue royalties to Vista for the use of the name. It’s going to be interesting!!

Yes, Investors appear to be a bit optimistic about Vista Outdoors, up over 9% today. Hopefully, a number of you have a little of that in your portfolio, might mean more toys
in your future.:)

Another twist to the entire story by Jim Shepard on The Shooting Wire today:
https://www.shootingwire.com
The story I refer to is the feature at the bottom of today's wire.
l read the story @shootingwire.com... My Opinion again. The owners of Remington, Cerebus Capital were not good stewards of Remington. They were not interested in Remington's future. They were only interested in Remington assets. Cerebus strapped Remington with lots of debt by using it as collateral for loans... Cerebus then took the money and used it elsewhere. l think Remington Mgt did the best they could. Kinda hard to run a company or business when the OWNER drops by now and then. He dips into the cash register taking out a wad, then off on his merry way.
btw. Bankruptcy Judge Clifton R Jessup is a Black Democrat appointed by Obama in 2015, recently returned home to Alabama after 30 yrs living/practicing in Michigan

You seem to know a great deal about the situation . Who exactly lent them the money??? How do you think they determined that the loan was worth making? How much money did Cerberus take out and was any of it in redemption of preferred stock and/or taxable dividends?
