6.5 Grendel or more outside the box...25 GrendelI'm starting to look for a new round, and I know a lot of people will say... well what are you going to use it for?
well. I'm thinking to start off with let's think about accuracy out to 500, then I'd like to consider it in a bolt action set up and lastly, for everything between coyotes to white tail for hunting. (And no, I'm not looking for any "very common rounds" I'd love to hear from the out of the box thinkers. I respect all. but I'd like to get a little weird with this one. haha
so, let's hear the comments, please and thank you.
Better bullets available for the 6.5.Neck a 6.5 prc down to .257. Put enough freebore in it to run the 135 Bergers at the right depth. And give the shoulder a 40 degree angle.
JoshB -Look at you guys pushing your wildcats at a Newby! Go easy on him. Little steps, please! I suggested the Dasher because it’s a great performer and dies, brass and load info are readily available. We have to draw these guys in slowly, bit by bit.
There are several wildcats made from the 284 Win used for 1000 yd. competition.I'm starting to look for a new round, and I know a lot of people will say... well what are you going to use it for?
