looking for small rifle primers

This primer deal is getting a little worrisome. Small rifle gone everywhere.
One distributor that I watch only had two types of large rifle primers left in stock, these were both regular and match Winchester. They had around 600,000 of these last week, and last nite On their website showed 0.

Seems I've had my head in the sand lately. I had no idea primers were so scarce. I'm in no danger of running out for the next 6 months, but I will be watching this and will be quick to buy a few years supply when they are available. Anyone going to Canada? When these things are scarce, they usually have plenty. Last time Federal primers were impossible to get here, a truck driver friend of mine brought me 5,000 back on one of his trips. He is a reloader himself.

I have 10,000. Reloading stuff isn't as bad as it was in the Obama days but there is no ammo. Guess all these new gun owners don't reload.

They will probably put that gun on the top shelf in the closet with the ammo and never even shoot it.

Of course all the concealed carry classes are full.

I'm a big 7 1/2 fan. Have been for years. My local reloading shop, which is usually well stocked, has not been able to get any in since at least April, when I first began looking for some. Could have been longer than that. CCI 450's are a good alternative but they're not 7 1/2's. I'm not fixated, just all my good shooting recipes using SRP's are based on them. I was one of the lucky ones to snag a brick from Midway this past Friday. The price didn't make me feel too lucky though but being down to my last tray, it was "the only crap game in town". The pocket pain was muted since the guys at work got me a gift card to put in my retirement card a couple of weeks ago and I used it. So, for the moment, life is good, but expensive for a pensioner.

Hoot

SRP s are definitely gone from everybody's shelves. Been looking around online and nothing so far. Glad I got a few when I still could.

I'm all set for a few years thankfully . My local shop has many thousand primers in stock, but he is also crazy on his pricing . I am sure folks will still buy them up eventually . I did find some CCI LRP at Walmart ,not what I normally use but I bought a bunch just in case things stay bad .

I'm glad I didn't get into the 6xc, 6CM, 6.5CM, 308 small primer brass. I'd be in trouble. So far I'm OK on large rifle primers. Just using small rifle in 223 brass

Thanks LongTrain, I found some Winchester LR Primers at Powder Valley and was able to get some BR2 Primers at Midsouth and powder. I was hoping to build an AR 15 in a 6mm arc or 224 valkyrie and was getting parts together then decided to look at reloading components and found out about the shortage of small rifle primers. Didn't know Large Rifle Primers are soon to be gone also. I 'm sure glad I found out about this problem before I went on with my plans. I'll stick with the larger calibers for now. At least I only have to keep Large Rifle Primers in stock and grateful I learned that they too are going extinct and was able to re-supply before all is lost or gone. I don't see how this will get better soon.

Anyone going to Canada?

Border between US and Canada has and is currently closed as far as trips, visits,
tourism, etc. are concerned. Allegedly to re-open July 21 but this is highly unlikely. The opening date has already been postponed 3 times.
The news (?) seems to suggest Canadians are opposed to any reopening.
Having been raised there I would like to visit my family but I do not see that happening, this year.
