rem primer ??

i have been using fed 205m primers in my xp 100 6br. i have a few 100 but did just get 5000 rem 7 1/2 . have any of you shot the 7 1/2 very much and how are they ? will they be as goos as the fed 205m ?

I have never used them in a 6BR but have used them in other cases. I never had a problem with them. They shot pretty good when I tried them in my Dasher but the BR4's did a hair better. Matt

Just about finished with my 4th sleeve of them over the years in Fireball, 222, 222mag, 223 and 6BR. Always had great accuracy and good SD/ES with them with such powders as 2015BR,H335 and 2200. They are my preferred SR primer!

I have used them as far back as I can remember... (at least 1973) and never had an issue with them. Have used them in 6br with no issues at all. I have read on the net where someone has used them and had trouble with them..... but lets face it some people can "F" up an anvil ::), and mistakes are made every day in any production environment. ??? Been using 7 1/2's for years and years with no problems at all.Work great in my 6BR.

The 7 1/2 primer is a good primer. You need to try them in your cartridge/powder/bullet and see if they give you the results you want. I have found them to be the best in some cartridge/loads but not all. I have shot about 4000 and never had a miss fire. I found that they were the most accurate in a 223 using H335 and a 55 gr bullet. I also shot a 6mmbr using H322 and 70 gr bullet and the 7 1/2 gave some of the best groups over the 205M.

I am using lupo 6br brass. i loades 10 rds to test last night. I had a hard time priming them on my dilion 550. fed 205m and cci sr prime easy. i measures the length of them. The rem 7 1/2 were .122 and the fed 205m were .118 . I do not think i will be loading my lupo 6br with the rem primers. I tride some rem 7 br brass and they fit real nice. I can see where some one could get miss fires with the rem because they do not seat them flush. I pushed 2-3 times on the rem in my 6br to get then close to flush. fed and cci seat easy. has any one found this ? can some one mike your fed 7 1/2 for length. I may have a bad batch. thankd Charles

Butches Reloading is in NM, I'm in Ohio near Cleveland. Fin Feather Fur is the only good shooters supply nearby. Big store but out of a lot of popular reloading goodies.

686: I find your 7 1/2 primers being harder to seat than CCI interesting. My experience has always been just the opposite - at least for the Benchrest primers..
