Looking for Midas Plus

Is their anyone selling Midas Plus - seems everywhere I look it is out of stock.

Mile High had it last week at 195 but looks like it sold quick. May want to get on their as well as others notification lists…

You must be brand new to rimfire. Nobody has stock of any Lapua match grade ammo for very long. SK doesn't last long either.

If I'm buying Lapua match ammo without lot testing, I'm choosing Center-X over Midas+ every time. In both of my Lapua test tunnel visits, using two different guns, Center-X and Midas+ lots were no different (some great, some good, some OK). So Midas+ is the same chance of a great lot for more money. And EuroOptic has Center-X in stock right now.

New to this 22 world so 40 cents per round doesn’t phase me when each center fire round I load costs me a buck not counting the brass! I do realize you guys have grown accustomed to lower prices though, and it is easy to go through a bunch of this ammo.

Dave.

Still in stock days later means most people feel the opposite and NO discount for case lots either.

Bill
I have not seen Midas+ lower than that anywhere. I just bought 5 bricks for $220 each 3 weeks ago, and 5 bricks $230 each before those. It’s still way cheaper than centerfire, my 30BR is about 1.50 a round and my 6BRA is roughly 1.75 each round. Sure we could all be shooting Federal Automatch from Walmart but this ain’t a squirrel hunt, this is match shooting.

That math seems dramatic.

My 6BRA, with a .$60 hand-pulled bullet, $.07 primer, and 30 grains of powder ($.20), and Lapua brass used only 10 firings, comes out to half of that cost. Maybe you're factoring in barrel life, which still puts the total around $1.40 per round if a chambered barrel costs $650 and lasts 1500 rounds. Or you were paying peak prices for every single consumable(?)

Midas+ is $1650/case if you plan ahead and order from someone other than a gouging retailer. And again, Midas+ is Center-X that the factory has decided (somehow) they can charge more for. My test tunnel experience shows there is no difference between the performance of Midas+ vs. Center-X.

Anyway, you get to spend your money how your want. I try to send my business to the resellers who do not gouge, and only buy from retailers as supplemental sources only. But other readers should know there are other options for a lot less cost!
