Why would you need an entry packet if your signing up online?

I didn't call, it just came. They usually only send them out to shooters who entered by mail the year before. I don't know whats going on, but don't care now. I have a 50% off, and some NRA points, thats the reason I do it by mail, there is no way to use them online, unless that changed.

I'm so disappointed, I have to put off my trip until next year. We just got my sons schedule for his first year of college and the move in date is right smack in the middle of the match schedule. If it weren't his first year I'd wish him well and head out for the airport, but not this time, first child going to college for the first time, I can't miss it.

At least I'll get another year to work out some ammo bugs that recently popped up and be even more ready, but still disappointed after getting all psyched up for going.

My packets were in the mail today. It used to be that they would send you a packet if you shot the privious year, now is if you call and request one, register online or had mailed your registration in the previous year.

Camp Perry noob here. How long did it take from the time you registered online and your entry packet arriving? I'm an F-Class'r and I didn't see anything in the online registration that specified F-Class, is that part of the entry packet also? With the limited number of F-Class slots when do the competitors find out if they're in? Any other advice, gotchas, must haves/dos greatly appreciated.
