Looking for an airgun scope

I am looking for a scope for my air rifle. I took the Vortex off my 308, but it doesn't focus down to 25 yards. This is just a back yard plinker, but I am looking for a 4-16, 5-20 max.

Any suggestions?

Air rifle!: PCP or springer?
Range?
FFP or SFP?
How much you want to spend?
I run a Bushnell Engage on my PCP. SFP.

I would look at a Hawke.
+1 I have two and they work great. Focus down to under 30 feet easily. Mine are inexpensive 3x9, but they have a good selection of higher end models that won't break the bank.

Midway has a 6-24 X 50 Bushnell Nitro on sale now for $214 w/free shipping. Focuses down to 10 yards. A little more power than you are looking for, but, you can always turn it down. The extra magnification is great for targets and tuning.

Leupold 3-9x33 efr fine duplex
I’ve got a pair of them for my springers that I wouldn’t sell
You can get an non zero stop elevation dial SX-1 I think that gets the job done.

Cyclops videos on youtube has a bunch of scope reviews. He shoots airguns and provides pretty good information. I use bushnell banners also. Hard to beat a Leupold. A lot of scopes are made in China these days. Athlon is another scope that gets good reviews.

It doesn't have to be a "high end" scope. I have many PCP air rifles and have cheap Leapers/UTG scopes up to higher cost Athlon and other brand rifle scopes scopes. All work equally well. Visit an air rifle site like Pyramid Air, Airguns of Arizona or any other site to see what they have and read the reviews, For your Talon putting on a $800 scope won't make it shoot any better than a $100 Leapers. Just check the focal range and you will be just fine.

I put a $100 Bushnell scope on mine. It's made for 22 rim fire rifles. Don't know about 25 yard focus. Don't feel like dragging it out to look. Works fine.

I've used the 2-7 and 3-9 BSA airgun scopes. Both were on springers and survived. Both served just fine for backyard plinking. They ran about $100 six years ago.

Check out the Center Pointe line of scopes. For the price they are more than sufficient for a back yard plinker. I have a 4-16x44 that i paid around $75 for that has lived on springers for over 5 years without issue. I wouldn't put it on a target rifle though.

Call Burris,.. they made, a GREAT 4X Airgun scope, several years ago !
Still have mine on, a Powerful .22 cal RWS Diana, Break action, Spring gun ( 1,000 FPS velocity ! )
They might know WHO use to stock them and IF any are still available.
@ MikeT49,. lots of, forceful, 2 direction, "G's" generated, differently than, a Big Magnum Rifle ( or, so I've heard )
Repeated use in, the more Powerful guns and the Lenses go Wacky,. or, so I've heard,...
Had mine, since the 1980's and NEVER,.. a "problem" ! Burris builds,.. GOOD Chit !

I have not made any decisions on a scope as of yet. I have several projects this summer, and the scope on the PCP is just one of them. When the squirrels really start coming out, I and sure it will get higher on the important list.
