long or short action savage?

I am planning on buying a match trigger and a good stock to build a semi-custom 6BR. I have 2 actions, a 10FP(short action) and a 112 (long) savage. I am wondering in terms of pure accuracy which I would be wise to use. Short action would presumably be stiffer, but the long would have more bearing surface in the stock. Curious what your opinions are!

I built a 6x47L on a long action, works great!

I think for a 6br, I would use the short action! More stock selection. I personally wouldn't worry about bearing surface on a 6br build.

I have a BRX built on a 110 Action. The gun is extremely accurate and when the barrel is gone, I wont have to buy a new stock if I choose to go with a longer case design. Any way I go, the only thing I'll have to buy is a new barrel and a gunsmith's time.

2 cents

I have two long actions(one is a 6br that has shot clean matches and holds better than half moa at 600) and i have three short actions(one is a dual port target action). This said i can tell no difference in the accuracy of either of the five. The stock selection is better for the short actions if you are buying a mass produced stock, if you are buying custom it doesnt matter.
