Savage, Action witch one?

Hello, I am thing about building a rifle on a savage long action. What model of action would you recomend.,112 or 110)
Thing about building a 30-284.

Jack, Welcome to the forum. Try to find a used 112bvss, they were made in a 300 winmag. Sell the winmag barrel for 100 bucks, screw on a new Pac-Nor and you should be ready to go. Check on Gunbroker.com and GunsAmerica. They don't make this gun anymore but you can still find a great used one. The Winmag was such a beast to shoot, most you will find will be ANIB.

Thanks Chuck, I understand that the bolt face on the savage can be changed from 300mag,.532) to .473,284) to make it work OK?

Bolt faces are cheap and easy to change.

The 112BVSS was made in 30-06 also,I have one). You get a great stock and the long action with the correct bolt face with no change needed.

Try to get the BVSS-S, the solid bottom single shot.
