Loading room progress.

Well got the counter top secured, which was a literal PIT-neck. Arthritis aint kind to us geezers. 2 press's mounted. 6 wing nuts lost for the Inline fab mount. No idea where they went. Holes drilled and 2 furniture hole covers installed. Getting there. Gonna order another Inline Fab mount and some more wing nuts.

Definitely coming together rather nicely.

Just recently caught this work bench on sale at H F. Better quality than what I thought it would be and really helped to clear lots of tools out of my actual gun stuff. I added the second shelf in the middle and the strip across the back for hooks. Debating anchoring it to the floor but so far it has not moved with working in and around it.
These are great for the money! One thing that helps make them ore solid is to use a good wood glue when putting them together instead of just screwing them together. If you want them taller just cut a piece of 4x4 a little wider than the feet on the bench and bolt the 4x4 under the base of the bench. At my old house I put 2 of these back to back and bolted them together and they made a great island style table for an open area. I still have one in my garage with a T-7 bolted to it.

As soon as you receive the wingnuts you will find the others.

Guitars!

My lovely bride bought me an Epiphone (sp?) Dot twenty-six years ago for B-day #50. It plays better than I can play these days. I wanted one since I saw the Beatles (Harrison and Lennon) playing them back about 1962 or 63 on the Ed Sullican show. Couldn't swing one back then, so I got a Rickenbacker hollow body (crimson two tone) on the $5 a week plan where I started taking lessons at age 12.

Yea, I did not glue the joints but I did add a second shelf below the drawers and that really tied it down solid as a rock.

That's cool. I learned in the early 60's on my Dads Gibson 125. My first real guitar was a Silvertone from Sears. A few years later I got an old Telie.
I believe the Beatles were playing Epiphone Casino's at the time. I always wanted a Strat. Ended up with a 62 early re-issue.

Yea I think my first guitar cost about 45.00 back in early 60's. I messed around with it and learned to play chords and soon after purchased a better one but really got a better quality one later on. Owned many Fenders, Gibsons, Aria-Pro II and other better brands as well. At age 20 I developed a desire to check out bass and fell head over heals in love with it. Kind of where I hung my hat so to speak and enjoyed many years of playing but running up and down the road ate my lunch and just got burned out with traveling.
