I would love to have that much counter space. Looking good!

Bill...I think half the folks on AS Forum seem to have one of them benches...me included.Just recently caught this work bench on sale at H F.
A fellow guitarist I see.Very nice no doubt.
How thick and what material is bench top?Didn't want to Hi-jack the other load room thread, so here's where I was and where I am. Need to find a couple of young bucks to haul my countertop
Yes Sir pulled the strings on that old Jazz bass for around 40 years.A fellow guitarist I see.
Mamn, that's way too neat. Really, you can tell us, that's a showroom set up. LOL2x splash on the back with 3.5" deck screw to studs or redhead into concrete. The trick with a press is to keep the bench attached to the wall. My work and reloading bench, made of double 2x12s has a 2x8 back splash, glued and screwed onto the back then attached to the walls, plural. I have 50 boxes with doors and drawers to keep the dust out. Pipe clamps work well, and can be leveled on the concrete floor.
You can take one board at a time down to the basement that way. May be late right now, but assembly on your own does require planning. A 1x2 between 2x12s with the back splash gives the over hang at the front.
This is 1/2 of one room. there are four rooms with five sets of cabinets and tops.
The window looks dow the 250 meter rifle range w a 15ft high berm. Just a set of ideas.

Arthritis killed my playing. Gave my son my 52 Gibson 125, and my 62 Strat. My rock star days are over.Yes Sir pulled the strings on that old Jazz bass for around 40 years.
It's a counter top from Home Depot. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Hampton...tegrated-Backsplash-011312010695037/315626719How thick and what material is bench top?

I agree, and have been doing it whenever I build a reloading bench or workbench. DEAD SOLID.2x splash on the back with 3.5" deck screw to studs or redhead into concrete. The trick with a press is to keep the bench attached to the wall.
Im still able to play but got burned out running up and down the road. No more traveling for me.Arthritis killed my playing. Gave my son my 52 Gibson 125, and my 62 Strat. My rock star days are over.
Yea, I don't have any wall space left but I'm comfortable with it out in the floor. Sure did free up lots of space in my red box and cabinet under the corner work bench.Bill...I think half the folks on AS Forum seem to have one of them benches...me included.
They do work well in confined spaces. I like the one I got, and the price was right.

Messing round in the mancave today and decided to try my hand at putting together a set of homemade no-marr vise jaw covers from some left-over scraps for the bench. Found some 1/4" thick felt pads at Lowes and cut to fit to finish it off.Bill...I think half the folks on AS Forum seem to have one of them benches...me included.

I'd do exactly the same. That's the reason I have to have a clear out every so often of stuff I've saved, just in case it comes in handy!Yea I thought about filling them in but decided to wait and see if I might need them later on.
