Loading buddy

My youngest boy was walking by the open gunroom door the other day and asked if he could help. He's 4 now so I figured if he was willing then I was. His older brother started at the same age and now he's shooting a couple matches a year with me. I never get a stuck case because he can't size it if there isn't enough lube and he even inspects for split necks and other defects. I'll take all the help he'll give while it's still cool to hang out with dad!

Him and his dog both! This is great, and I know you are really happy to see this. Maybe it will always be cool to hang out with Dad?

Boys love things that do BANG! I think you will have a shooting buddy too. Good job.
His brother started shooting at 4 also. He said he thinks he needs to wait a little more. I buil a little cricket 22 with 3" chopped off the back of the stock for them to start on. That gun has started 3 kids shooting so far and I would imagine many more in the years to come.

Good deal.....

My little man is 6, I have a video of him at just over 1yr. standing on a step stool pulling the handle on the RCBS with a .17 Ackley Hornet case in it ( no die ) but he ran that case up and down at least 100 times giggling and laughing about it the whole time....

He obviously had watched someone else do it.

Today he is in charge of ironing out any dents in new case necks with HIS neck expander.....

There are plenty of things that little hands are capable of doing to help out, that aren`t dangerous, keep it up......;)
