Litz and Cortina - follow up on barrel tuner discussion

This is the guy with The Secrets... but he has retired from F-Class shooting....
John Myers records speak for themselves and Eric says he cracked the code and gave him the key... but swore him to secrecy.

There will be follow up tests. So if you want to wait for the punch line you will have to wait a little longer.
 
I listened to it while working yesterday. Nothing earth shaking there but it sounds like Litz has seen and heard enough that there just might be something to tuners after all. Most users have known this for a long while but he's not sold by what others tell him or offer as evidence. Maybe it'll lead to him doing his own actual vibration analysis and testing, hopefully with the help of someone more familiar with how the test should be run and how to adjust the tuner. If he or anyone moves in too big of increments, it'll very much seem random because of random adjustments, essentially. He had a standing invite to call me and I'd be of as much help as possible but he has not, which makes me question how serious he was/is about actually wanting to know more about them. Hopefully, if he does further testing, he'll work with Erik or someone with a basic comprehension of their use rather than what was done and published before. At least he's moving in the right direction now, it seemed to me. More than once he said he had asked for anyone to describe what was flawed in his test without anyone saying anything. That's not accurate. More than once I did mention reasons for his results and offered to help, before things turned sour. So there was no reason not to communicate with someone who makes tuners and has extensive testing experience that I think is very helpful to anyone either beginning with tuners or getting them on the right path for further testing, if that's what he was after. Again, he didn't and hasn't called me at all. It doesn't matter how many rounds were fired in a test that was doomed to fail from the start, because of the testing process...not that tuners do or don't work. Hopefully he is seeing the light or will soon.

I was able to view the video without paying. IMO Bryan has a lot to offer, but in this case he missed the boat. Too many shooters have seen improvement in their results to doubt that they work. I will say that the accuracy that his test rifles exhibited was not really in the class of those normally associated with winning matches in shooting sports where the rifle is supported rather than held. Another factor is how rifles' vibrations are damped by being held. That may have masked the effect in his tests. Whether it is F class or benchrest, shooting with very light to no contact is common, and in that situation I think that changes in the rifle that effect vibration are more likely to show up in a consistent manner.
 
Not having shot competitively in about a decade, I didn’t realize there was a debate about tuners. I thought short range BR shooters had proven them to be useful decades ago. I walked up on the end of a conversation where a local benchrest hall of famer that passed away not too long ago was discussing their use with another club member and thought “dang I wish I had been here for the beginning of that”. It would have been a nice bit of knowledge to soak up.

I listed several flaws in his prior test on his Facebook page. His partner(?) asked if he could telephone me to discuss. I declined because I'm not qualified to explain the technicalities of tuner use, others have offered help and are much more qualified.
 
Finally, got it to play for me and looks like Litz may have to eat a little crow before all is said and done. He has agreed more testing is required NOW in order to re-visit his ideas. John Myers knowledge is bumping him in the butt. LOL.
