To the OP, I suggested the two Manners for several reasons... durability, light weight, very attractive, but mostly because they have reasonably high combs.
For some reason, stock makers often forget that hunters need a proper cheek weld too. For me, the McMillan hunters edge could have been a complete knockout (I own a few McMillans so not bashing) but the comb is far too low.
Behind those two (EH3/EH6) I’d suggest a plain old McMillan BDL.. very attractive stock.
