Shopping for a strong and lite rifle stock

Amazed nobody has mentioned the Manners Elite Hunter series.... it’s 2018 folks.

They are bad to the bone. My favorites are the EH3, EH1 and EH6.

Perfect inlets for just about any action you could want. Bottom metal fits so tight I can’t bed it.

I’d like to hear the details. I have seen them make mistakes, but I still think they’re the best in that market.

Same experience with Manners here. Not what I would call a "piece of junk", but I feel you get better quality from other stock manufacturers in the same price point. Bought a Manners T4A for a 300 Norma Mag build and wasn't really impressed. There's a slight kick in the wrist that sends the butt off at an angle. Can see the stock is crooked with the naked eye. Doesn't really effect the rifle for my shooting purposes, but for the money I would at least expect a stock to be straight

Huh? I wasn't aware of this until it was reported here. I don't think I came back and disputed this. My opinion of their stocks haven't changed.

It has been a month now and for those who have not heard, I have some tough news. On Sept. 1, Brown Precision experienced a devastating fire. Luckily no one was injured but the entire building and everything inside was lost. This is obviously a trying period for us, but we are resilient. We do not know what the next few months holds, but we haven't stayed in business for over 50 years by backing down from a challenge.
