Leupold Question Please

A very kind friend loaned me a 6.5x20 LRT with Varmint reticle to go on my 22BR. I took it to the range and to get the parralax out the 100 yd target was very blurred. Is this something that can be corrected at the Leupold service center?

Sorry for the rant, but here is my experience with Leupold service...

Having tried again and again to get Leupold to fix an obviously defective scope, my answer is no. The last time I sent a pretty good scope to them, they did so much damage that they had to build me a new one (the defective one).

I've had such a hard time with this still bad scope that I'll never buy anything else from them.

In case you are curious, the scope tube is not coaxial with the optics. I have to run Burris signature inserts + and - 10 on both rings with the splits in the vertical orientation to twist the scope tube location to where it can be sighted in. I've tried it on all of my rifles, so it isn't a rifle problem, and I've tried multiple scope ring sets. I've swapped it straight across for both my Sightron and Nightforce scopes. The Sightron and Nightforce agree within 1 MOA all of the time, the Leupold is off over 20 MOA. It is the scope. They just refuse to fix it.

With my first Sightron 8-32x scope, I was having a similar situation and about ready to send it in. The problem was I didn't have the eye piece perfectly focused. There was a very fine line between getting everything perfectly adjusted and being slightly out of focus. Once I hit the perfect spot the reticle was sharply defined, the focus was crisp, and the cross hairs would not move when I moved my head around behind the scope. Not saying this is your problem but worth tweaking before you send it back to Leupold.
