I do not have any experience with landing a plane, but I do know it is in a different flow regime than supersonic flow.sounds like "ground effect" for landing a plane
I've thought about rigging one off the front rest, maybe somehow incorporate the mount into the front stop. If it's lined up with the stop it should be lined up with the barrel I'd think.I guess i should have specified....... tuning 1000 yard bench gun.....no bipod....no pic. rails. shooting off of a front rest. I will say that I have no issues drilling holes and attaching to the end of the stock since it is damaged anyway.
You won't get a POI shift with the off barrel mount system that Tubb was selling. Same as the others.
You will if it’s too close. I did on my last session with a Wiser mount.
A huge thanks to 1badgoat!I got some cheap 1" QD rings(low and high hts.),1" CF tube, and a cheap pic rail and made 1 each for my CA 338LM MPR and my CA 300WM BA Tactical.Took me a bit of time to get the bayonet to work on both rifles(had to increase the sensitivity a little on the MPR mount because of the slightly larger gap)but went to the range last week and the mounting system works perfectly! Thanks again brother!
