So, after you having one for awhile, if you had to replace it, what would you replace it with and why?Do you know if it works with lightburn?
You need to go through and adjust your laser timing, it'll clean up that bit of ghosting in your lettering. It'll also help optimize your runtime. Lasereverything has good videos about it on their YouTube.I just got the Omtech 60W Mopa a couple of weeks ago. It took about an hour to get going with it, and I haven’t had time to play with it much. So far I like it, but I will have to do some playing around with settings to get it just right. I engraved the last couple of my 2024 builds with it and have not messed with it since.

You have jumped in with both feet haven't you Bill?I bought the $1499 ComMarker 20W self contained little machine a while ago. The power supply is built into the base and the overall footprint is quite small. I made the simple aluminum cradle to set barrels or barreled actions on, and am impressed with how well it’s been working.
I’m running with the default laser settings and use the cross hatching with 0.025mm line spacing. The barrel text shown below was done with 10 passes.

Haha, yes that’s probably not untrue. My wife is very understanding. I got really lucky finding her in 1979, although we didn’t marry till 85. I just like to play in the shop, building or fixing stuff. Have built powdercoat oven & spray booth, do Cerakoting, TIg, MiG, stick, plasma cutting, manual mill and lathes. Have been shooting all my life but hadn’t chambered a barrel until 2011, on an 11” Rockwell. You have jumped in with both feet haven't you Bill?
