This is my Ohio State Buckeyes rifle. (I wonder why nobody offers a stock in maize and blue)
Savage PTA RB LP, Brux 30", 8 twist, 1.125 straight, no taper, Boyd's thumbhole stock, Form 1 suppressor.
It's primary use (besides agitating Michigan fans) is shooting groundhogs.

Time to bring this oldie back to the front. This was my last XC I was building about this time last year. It took either 1st-3rd place in every match last season by either my son or myself in the class we shoot at 1000.

Kinda a fun build to make a 12# gun.
Started off by tearing down a BAT B RBLPRE short range PPC/30BR gun, adding direct mount 20 MOA BAT rings, a 30” Standard Plama Krieger 8 twist and a Harrell’s tuner. Then I fitted it with a KSS Straightline Edge LV filled stock at 25oz, since those short range stocks don’t work very well in the 1000 yard game. Action and stock came in around 4#’s and I had 8#’s for rings, scope and barrel.

To perfectly balance it, I ended up using a 6x1/2” rod in the stock made of tungsten. Topped it off with an SIII 10x50x60. As you see it, comes in at 11.98 lbs.

Sure won us a lot of bling in 2018!
