Great piece of equipment.
Since I do not shoot very much long range, what is the advantage of cutting weight in the front rest.?

LoL. Not having to lug it to the line and up and down the basement stairs. The older I get, the heavier all my equipment feels.

My Lenzi is riding right next to me in the front seat but according to Pat the Pelican 1620 case is the right fit

I’ve been shooting off of a Lenzi for a couple years now. I love the rest but to be honest, I didn’t order or even know he had started making the skeletonized version then, but that’s what arrived. I wish it was solid so it was heavier. I want my rest and bag combo to outweigh my rifles by a big margin.

Here’s how my setup performed at my last midrange match. Was good enough to take the overall win against some tough competition and move me up to an NRA Master classification. Needless to say I am very happy with how the Lenzi rest has performed.

I got the Delrin block from Freeland's Sports but ultimately I don't recommend it. There was too much flex in the setup. I'm now using an aluminum front bag rider from MPA. You have to shave about .15" from one of the screw holes to get it to match up with the spigot mount holes but it's a pretty simple task. The MPA bag rider is solid as a rock. My groups definitely shrunk after installing it.

25 # bag of shot or 2 should hold it down.

Definitely, the styling of the Lenzi makes it the sexiest rest out there and they are a very good rest. It's not just looks!

The rest I just got isn't skeletonized, and with the bag filled with regular sand it weighs 24lbs 14oz.

Its funny how the trend a few years ago was to bigger and thicker bases, not its reversed it seems to see who can make the lightest base. As long as it is stable on the bench, light is good imo.

Agreed! But the price has gone up OVER $500! in a year. That's crazy.
