Lapua Production Suspension

This just forces us all to do the right thing and buy American. It's not like before when Lapua was the only option. With Peterson, ADG, Starline and the others there are options.
ALL 3 that, you mention ARE,. very "Good" !
My Grandson Shoots ADG in his 6.5 PRC, Son shoots 7MM-08 Starline and I shoot, Peterson in 6.5 Creed and they all, work great !
Just use about, a 1/2 grain LESS in the Peterson cases due to, their "Thickness" to avoid, any "Pressure Issues".
When Building a Rifle or, adding, a New Barrel, Buy at least, 200 New Brass to, go with it

Please point me to where Putin said that, because that sounds like a pile of propaganda bull to me.

Well, start with Putin's 2005 address to the Russian nation

"Above all, we should acknowledge that the collapse of the Soviet Union was a major geopolitical disaster of the century. As for the Russian nation, it became a genuine drama. Tens of millions of our co-citizens and compatriots found themselves outside Russian territory. Moreover, the epidemic of disintegration infected Russia itself."

Every analyst of current Kremlin policy starts from there, and the restoration of the USSR as being Putin's personal crusade and the keystone of his foreign policy. He has already invaded and subjugated independent Georgia, then Crimea, then eastern Ukraine (Donbas) before the March invasion. The Baltic states have invited NATO forces in continually in recent years for assistance and training and other support in recent years, and not because they're afraid of a renewed invasion by Germany, or even Poland. It's propaganda bull that Crimea is part of greater Russia and happily left Ukraine to return to Mother Russia in 2014 is it? You apparently discount the BBC, your own media and think tanks, so who do believe?

Once he has the USSR back (as if!) he'd be looking over the Finnish border just as his Soviet predecessors did. Finland proved a very hard nut to crack in 39/40, and its efficient in-house military preparedness post '45 allied to its natural geographic defensive advantages are what that has kept that country free.

Laurie is just right about what Putin has said. And not forgetting that russia state media has showed maps showing Finland as part of russia. Russian high ranking government officials have stated that all those countries which have been under russian rule at some point from times of Catherine the Great should be annexed again to russia.

I'm sorry man but how you transposed Putin said he's going to reclaim all previous territories from that one statement I have no idea what you're talking about. Because that's not what it says.

In fact it's not even close to what he said.

I just bought last box of 6.5 CM cases. 6BR were all gone locally. I had to order them a minute ago from a Berlin shop at 20%+ price. But at least I will have them next week. I think the guy below made some interesting geopolitical comments on Ukraine:

I guarantee you he NEVER said that.

The propaganda around the Ukraine conflict is off the charts. The lies are so thick that basically there is almost no truth. Ukraine makes post 911 Iraq seem like an open book. People still believe to this day that Saddam Hussein was involved in knocking down the World Trade Center.

The BBC is the worst. Maybe worse than US media sources. The propaganda being shoveled by British Intelligence is off the charts.
Yes - I like the propaganda videos made to look like real aircraft being shot down.

I have done business with a company in Norway for over 12 years--as you know they sit right next to Russia--The Day they invaded Ukraine I get a call--It is Over--full stop. My pal explained they get a Lot of goods from Russia--that they would now not be getting any longer--it halted construction in its tracks --prices have sky rocketed on materials there. It is real.
It has not resumed and I have been told it was nice doing business all these years.
All this from a country whose sovereign wealth fund is the biggest in the world--bigger than the Saudi Norway Has $$$$$$$$$$$$$$ but .................
FWIW I just got 700 rounds of Starline in last week for my needs --Whew!

Start annealing!
Load down a bit, too. I'm not an annealer most of the time. If I can get 20 plus firings on my bras and still win with it, I feel like I got my money's worth and then some. But now is different. I've annealed and I saw benefit in it by getting more firings before trashing brass. I'll likely be doing it again to keep brass going. I won't be annealing every firing like some but maybe every 10 firings or so. Time for popcorn. ;)

Is there a Co. in the US that makes 220 or 6ppc brass?
Not currently. I suspect the odd head diameter is one major reason the Alpha and Peterson haven’t made the leap.

220R didn’t make the list, and it’s safe to say they won’t be sending any of it to Russia.

I see Starline offers 6.5 Grendel basic brass which hasn’t been formed with shoulder and neck so could ’probably’ be formed to 6 ppc - never tried it so that’s conjecture but still probably doable

I bet 98% of Custom Builds are built for Lapua brass.
^^^THIS^^^
I've always been a Lapua "snob" when it comes to a custom build for myself. Everything is contingent upon good brass, even if you have to form it. We're fortunate to have some other brass makers out there now that offer many base cartridges in good quality. If it's Lapua quality or not is debatable but it's nice to have other options available. Hopefully Peterson or ADG will start making 6ARC or 6.5 Grendel brass soon. Hard to imagine there not being a decent market for either or both, with as many AR's are out there chambered in one or the other.

Good for you! I still think I'd feel nervous with a large country led by an obsessive acquisitive psychopathic maniac who reshapes history to suit his fantasies next door though!

Mind you, by the time Ukraine is finished with his army, he might not have anything much left in the T6X / T7X / T8X series of AFVs left and with the Russian Army competence (or lack of it) and maintenance / reliability levels (low!) apparent in Ukraine, a Russian invading force would likely get lost in your forests and lakes, and then break down and abandon its vehicles before fighting you.

I'm amazed how people spout these narratives. How easily the media can control what they think. Otherwise reasonable, rational people just throw all observational abilities aside and just start echoing these horror movie story lines without any actual way to back it up.

Putin is a "psychopath" huh? Hmmm.

Like handing out speeding tickets in the Indy 500.
