Lapua FTR 30 cal bullet choice

I run a 11 twist Bartlein (.170 freebore) with 200s and 210s. Both shoot extremely well out to 1000. You shouldn't have any trouble getting to the speed you listed with H4895 and 200s.

Feedback is much appreciated.

Surpassed 2700 with last weekend's load test with zero pressure but it looked like I had just got to the bottom of what looked like a third node. Going to increase with a couple more +0.3 grain charge increments tomorrow then pick the best and test some small ranges of jump the next day.

Hope to have a match load to practice with at 600 next weekend then make the plunge with the big annual Berger order after that.

If you are using Lapua Palma brass it doesn't show pressure like you are used to seeing with large primer brass.

Just a word of caution. My experience. I'd do a destructive test on a couple of cases and load them repeatedly to see how many loadings you are getting at that velocity before you lose the primer pockets. You may be fine, but three yrs ago I thought I had it whooped shooting 215s with N550, then I had to throw out ~60 cases after one firing and realized that I was not where I wanted to be.

Another good tip. Caution had been in my mind.

Really wanted to finish cautiously verifying what looks like a node to see if it has any width to it. Especially testing here in MI where because of the mild winter has been completed in the 50's knowing I need room in the node for 90's. Guessing here I may likely have to use the second node to avoid the risks you pointed out.
