308 FTR bullet of choice

Might be the only shooter on this planet that has grief with the 185's.

200gr Hybrids though seem to work like a dream.

That will be my bullet going forward...

No, definitely not Jerry. Just like any other model, they work with some barrels and not others. However, unlike many designs, they seem to work in most. Even so, I do know many people over here (the UK), who prefer the Berger 210s to the 185.

................. but as the 185 Juggernaut has been virtually unobtainable here for getting on for two years (unlike the 185gn and 190gn VLDs), many former users, or would-be new users looking to give them a try, have had to find new bullets anyway.

I tried the 185 Jugs a few years ago when I had problems getting the JLK LBTs. For me, the JLKs worked better, I found them to be "slipperier" in the wind, just not affected quite as much as the Jugs. I was only too happy to go back to the JLK LBTs.

Oops, sorry. I guess I shouldn't have done so much Freaking testing to try and make them work :o

What is the definition of insanity? Yeah, that would be me and that brick wall.

I did try the 210's along the way and they are far easier for my set ups. Just didn't like the extra recoil but I know others in Canada have had superb results with them.

Given that the huge consumption has passed, you will be buried in 185BT's by spring ;)

Hope to see you and the other GB shooters in Ontario in the coming years. If I can help with supplies while in Canada, please do let me know....

Getting JLK's has been a pain but I have shot them in the past. Were very accurate but I had issues with bullet blow up with the lot of 22cal 90's I ran last year at the US Nationals.

I doubt that would ever be a concern in the larger 30cals.

Right now, supply is the primary limiting factor. Will have to look at what the long term plans are and start stocking up.

And I wonder if Big Green has any new offerings in the near future?????

I may have to try the 200's. No luck for me with the 215's at any speed that gives me an advantage over the 185's. Maybe I can find someone wanting to try 215's that has some 200's and trade a box..

I've shot a ton of 200s, they are a great bullet and easy to tune but extremely hard to find at the moment.
