We got a cabin at Zephyr Cove on Lake Tahoe for the weekend. Perfect weather.

Going to the range early then getting together with the family, we all live fairly close and are doing a big lunch- pretty fortunate really.

I went shooting with my wife's nephew Saturday.
We had a great time.
He is from Massachusetts and has never been to an outdoor range. He is a fairly new shooter.
I helped him with his handgun grip and we also shot a couple different rifles.
He shot his Ruger PCC @ 50 yards on paper targets. I told him to shoot the steel at 100 yards. He said he could not hit it. Told him to try on the fifth shot he hit the steel plate.I attach a picture of him shooting my CZ 455 with the suppressor on it.
That is hearing safe.
I had a great time shooting with him and helping him out.
Later in the day he sent a text and said we need to go shooting again some time soon.

Taking a new shooter to the range with her new S&W. She’s cute, slim and blonde and my wife approves. Gonna be fun watching the guys drool!

Weedeat. My two youngest kids and I are going to weedeat roadsides in a higher end community. 4 miles of them. $140 per mile. All about speed. Me and my pastor has done it in 4 hours but I'm older and my kids are slower.

Got some friends coming over today. I’m firing up the pit and smoking meat. Chicken leg quarters and racks of St Louis ribs.

I'm making an engine run stand so we can run engines out of the car. My first welding project with my own Esab Migmaster welder.

I made it strong enough that you can strap a lathe to it and move it around the shop. I haven't welded the 8 inch casters to it yet.

It’s in the books folks. My first ever F Open match is complete. NRA Sanctioned Mid range.
I shot a 598-34X. First two strings were clean 200-13X and 200-11x. The last string I dropped 2 points and ended with a 198-10X.
The 284 Shehane was ON! Had a blast!

I'll be making case forming die bushings for myself and T. Zaun. 12 bushings from .200" to .500". It will take a 458 Lott to a 17-458 Lott.

Got them done and shipped to Todd. Picked up 2 barrels for Wyman's new hunting rifle from the engraver. Out to the bluing shop tomorrow. Hopefully the wood stock will be done soon.
