Labor day plans

My wife and kid split yesterday for the holiday. I am home taking care of the livestock, doing chores, and being a (temporary) batchelor.

Everyone I know is either sick with COVID, gone hunting up north, working, or otherwise not around. I even offered to buy lobsters and shoot machine guns this weekend, no takers!

I did find someone off Monday AM, we are going to breakfast then going to shoot sporting clays.

I salvaged tonight by loading 9mm ammo to feed my UZI SMG. Finish up tomorrow and try them out. Might get the other SMGs out, the M2 needs some daylight too.

Anyone who wants to come out, y'all welcome, bring shells, I will provide whole lobster!

Today I plan to develop a load for my AR to match Hornady Frontier 5.56 65gr factory stuff using LC brass, CCI-450's, and TAC. I have enough of the Hornady 68gr BTHP Match w/cann and all the other components to go around and a box of the factory stuff to measure velocity in my rifle for a baseline. GRT thinks it is possible.

Shelby County Deer Hunters club has a monthly match where you shoot standing. I want to try that tomorrow if I can find some ammo for my Silhouette rifle. The one in my avatar.

Gonna stay close to home.
The real fun starts after
Monday when all the visitor numbers go down.
Lots more peoples in the hi country since Covid.
Im not complaining in the least, the outdoor fun is for everyone and
I’m sure I ticked off people when I moved here too…

I’ll probably just sit around and recover from bunion surgery. Can’t really do much except read and watch tv. And ride around the house on a knee scooter. I’ll check out all the Labor Day sales. Maybe spend some money, maybe not?

Yesterday a torsion spring on the 8x16' garage door broke. Found a pair of new ones, finished the install this morning. Fishing tomorrow, since the door goes up again. Sept. More elk rifle shooting practice, Oct. 1 cow calf season in Wyoming.
