Ideally, it should be placed even with the muzzle or slightly behind (with no brake). Placing it further back may not trigger the unit when a shot is fired while using the internal trigger as the source. If placed a foot toward the breech, my unit will not reliably trigger....unless it is in the Doppler trigger mode. The shooters you see with the unit placed that far aft are likely in Doppler trigger mode. I like my unit...Labradar, that isOn every picture LabRadar is BEHIND the muzzle (barrel extends about 10-12'' past radar) but on mine I can only get a reading if the radar is placed about the same distance past the muzzle... Does anybody have any ideas why is that happening? TNX.
