L.E. Wilson 30br FLS bushing die

I hoping a few forum members are using this die and can tell me how much of the neck it leaves unsized. I have been using a Redding 30 br body die and a 30 br neck die making case sizing a 2 step process. The Redding neck die leaves a little of the neck unsized. I purchased the die in the thread title, hoping to make my life a little easier sizing brass, and was surprised by how much of the neck it left unsized ~.193”. The good folks at Wilson will not be back in the shop until Monday so I can’t ask them if this is normal until then. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I’m using the same .324 wilson neck bushing in both dies (Old Redding neck die and new Wilson fls) and have it adjust tight, and then loosened just enough, so that it rattles when shaken.

Thanks,

Ryan

Looks like my Wilson press F/L bushing die is leaving app. .100 un-sized with the same adjustment as you described above. The shelf that the bushing sits on in the Redding dies are thicker than the Wilson dies.

Thanks Bill, exactly what I was looking for. I'll play around with the die some more but the unsized portion of my neck is almost 2x what your seeing. Not sure why that would be.

Try flipping the bushing in the die, some bushings are tapered on the inside, I can't remember for sure but I thought Wilson was one of them. Give that a try and see if it helps
