Requires a bit of planning but all my guns where set up with a weight system when built so was very simple to remove a few ounces. I never build right against the limit anyways. I often compete with a 10lb 4 oz 6PPC against 25 lb guns of bigger cartridges out to 500 yds. It's about a tuned rifle and reading conditions not how heavy the rifle is.
