Just wanted to honor a good man

I have a friend much like Shorty. He is currently under Covid lockdown in a "senior Living" center. He ain't livin. Love him a lot, and his memories will always be with me. So as I watch him leave slowly into that misty wood, I understand your feelings Reb.

Here's to good men, raise a glass. Always with us, though they pass.

Be Happy you got to say goodby. I just found out my friend died 10 days ago I didn't have a chance to say goodby his wife never called just poped up on the obituary section of our news paper 3 days after the funeral. Sad

My good friend of over 70 plus years says "these aren't easy times for times for us, all our old friends are dying or experiencing poor health, dementia or something." He is 'right on'! But like I wrote above "don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened. I tell lots of people "I have a pocket full of memories, not wishes." Albert Einstein said " instead of being a person of success, try to be a person of value" "People of value" that is many of the people I've known.
