Have you tried ebay resolution which is at the bottom of the page of the My Summary page? I would also go to the bank and tell them it was a fraudulent charge and see if they will replace at least part of it. I had to do it once for a lot more and they replaced it.

Honestly Larry, I'd post the dipshits name and contact info here and all forums you inhabit for all to see.

Maybe, just maybe, with his info plastered all over the net, he'll think twice next time about screwing over someone just trying to make a living. If nothing else, the rest of us will know who the asshat is and avoid the miscreant.

Sorry for your loss, bud.

sorry for your loss. more and more scams happening and looks like it is going to get worse with all the unemployed

Like Ray asked, what is the name ?
I know its quick and easy to use a credit card, but I require postal money orders and cash it before I ship. even if the post office doesn't have enough cash they can validate the mo to make sure its not counterfit(they tell me they get plenty of those) and once its validated, you can deposit it , and you know it wont come back.i know its time for the buyer and trouble for you, but for someone without feedback somewhere or references I would go that route. you will have to sell quite a few triggers just to recoup your loss. I hate to hear this ,because anyone who knows or deals with you knows you are a first class guy.

As much as I hate thieves, and as much as I would like to know who this individual is, that can open the discloser up to all kinds of liability as I am sure most of us know.
What we want to do, or do to them and what we can do are, sadly two very different things.

Sorry to hear this Larry. you are a stand up, great person to do busy with and don't deserve this.

Been there and have the t-shirt. Hate to hear you had to take a loss. It's infuriating. The merchant service providers breath hot and heavy down your neck and all times. Have a big day of sales (i.e. bring in more money on credit cards in one day than merchant service provider thinks is within your allocated range), and they will delay depositing the money into your account so they are protected. Have some scumbag buy a $1000 Vortex scope on your website and slip thru the merchant service provider's scam filters, and hey there mr retailer working 60+ hours/week trying to make it....we're going to let you take the loss. The drop-shipping game makes the retailer even more exposed to this kind of thing, and he's the one making the least out of everyone in the line with their hand out.

Rant over.

I made it a point to start calling every purchase that had a different shipping address from the billing address, but that gets out of hand quick.

Larry, commiserating with your pain is a less than temporary solution. Many times in life when dealing with a vendor, I tell them, I want their business to do well, so I can continue buying from them. Time for me to put my money where my mouth is. Larry PM me your contact information and I will send $50.00 in cash to start to help make this right and maybe some of the rest of us can also help.

I appreciate the more than generous offer, but thats not necessary. I guess I will have to chalk it up to the price of doing internet business.

To answer the name question. They have hit me 4 times and it has been a different name each time. The drop ship address has been the same each time. Transactions 1&2 came in very close together. I caught no#3 because I already had chargebacks on the first two. I thought it was over until #4 chargeback appeared on my recent bank statement. If they had run all 4
purchases shortly after stealing the card or cards, it would been
a bases loaded home run for the scumbag team. LDS

I sorry to hear that, Larry. If it’s any consolation, they’ll pay for it, now or later or both. It’s people in business, like you, that make America great. I appreciate you handling it with class.

Back in March when I was still drop shipping
I sold an order for $410.00. I learned from my
bank statement today the scumbag has run a charge
back for the amount in late April. Now I am out
$800.00 and there is not a single co within the
internet financial circle thats going to assume
any part of that loss. We apologise, we're sorry.
Try depositing any of those excuses. LDS
I'm very sorry to hear that, Larry. I am very much enjoying the Jewell I bought from you and have to say that the transaction went just perfectly.

I know somebody in FL who has a high end machine shop business. He makes medical stuff among other products. But, he tried to introduce a retail consumer product and just kept getting hit with the charge backs and then his CC processor is on his ass about that...and....like others, I do hope the fat finger of karma sticks it to these kind of folks.

Again, very sorry to hear this.

I had a customer like that, they would space out their orders every few months, order some high dollar materials to be expedited shipped to Mexico, then charge back. Finally, what we did is require signature on delivery for proof of receiving and protecting us, but we were also able to black list the address and cancel any orders shipping there when we get them.

Sucks, I know. I feel for you.

American Express?

About your only recourse is to contact his CC company since they processed and approved the chargeback. As part of their "investigation" they should have contacted you for your side of the story. I have heard others on other message boards say that AE if you can't pay your bill, will suggest to do a chargeback so that they don't get stuck eating the loss. If I was a merchant like you, I would not accept AE credit cards.

In as many places you can, post the billing and shipping address as a warning to others. You are not using the scumbags name so where is the liable ? And you're telling the truth, you got stuck, more than once.
