SELLERS/VENDORS BEWARE

There are companies out there that will run analytics at the time of the transaction to determine whether it’s fraudulent or not. If it passes, then they’ll insure the transaction. I don’t know how often this happens, but it might be worth looking into.
I'm going to ck on the 3rd party insured approach. I'm operating on chump change profit now. Theres not much left to give away. Maybe I could call Biden and tell him I'm an illegal and need some monetary help. LDS

Yeah, it definitely becomes a math exercise to see if giving away another another 3/4% of your top line is better than rolling the dice and just eating the fraud as it happens.

I think something has to give at some point and I wish some commerce group would push pressure on the CC companies. Part of the CC fee is supposed to go to cover merchants in the event of fraud, and my experience has been that in-person purchases that are swipe or chip transactions are reimbursed fairly regularly and painlessly. Unless something has changed, you generally don’t have the same protection as an online merchant, but you aren’t paying any less of a fee.

I copied the USPS delivery receipt showing date and time delivered, along w/my mailing label receipt, but that apparently is not evidence.

Unfortunately, no that is just proof something was delivered, but not to where. A signature means it is in hand and can be verified who has it. I do this with high value orders going to different countries (typically mexico) because I've had a lot of charge backs come from those and the return fees are astronomical so we typically abandon shipments.

All of my sales have been online. I do know that w/a swiped card the merchants pay a lesser percentage and they may have some protection, this I don't know. LDS
