These times show us the true value of being able to load your own. I could put together 1000 rounds of 45 ACP in a day, if needed. I collect and save all my brass and maintain a bullet inventory for all the guns I shoot.
I’m mentoring one guy that shoots 9mm pistols. I put a kit together for him and showed him the basics. I don’t reload the 9mm, but I had collected about 2000 empties, so he got them too. Not only is he enjoying an interesting hobby, but he also has a nice stockpile of ammunition to get him thru these lean times. His wife and daughter are getting into it, so it’s turned into a family affair. He jokingly calls it his production line.
That is one reason I like my Hornady LNL Progressive. I can pump out 45ACP's in short order. I have around 3000 rounds loaded and cases for another 3000 plus ready to go. Plenty of powder and primers but need to get some more bullets. I have a good stock pile so I wait to find a very good deals on FMJ 230 gr round nose. When I find them I try to act on the moment.
Haven't seen any thing for a while but I got my eye out for one.
