And 2020 looks like setting a new annual record.

I have heard it both ways, but it doesn't make any sense that these new first time buyers would be anti-gun or support losing their ability to own a gun. While they may not be strong 2A supporters, it is illogical to suggest that they are opposed to it.

Depending on how we receive them and train them will help determine how strong of 2A supporters they might become.

They are where I live. Like Mike Tyson said, "Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the face", and a lot of them have figuratively gotten punched in the face, especially those living in big cities.
I understand and we take contort in that. I am just point out that there is another side to this that you my not be aware of, which I was not.

I did a transfer a couple of weeks ago at a fairly small shop...right when the riots were kicking off.. Small enough of a shop that I kinda feel bad because I use them for transfers frequently and rarely leave with anything else. Just not a big shop or big selection and the firearms they stock are usually lower end stuff.

We had 4 transfers going on at once! People were leaving with guns when I was going and and people were buying as I was leaving. I couldn't believe it.

One lady honestly looked....concerned....as she looked at the gun she had just bought. Like she was afraid the gun was going to jump up and bite her. Left me sort of concerned. I sure hope she attends a course or something...I know there are some fantastic classes and courses directly aimed at female shooters, concealed carry etc.

I'm all for gun ownership. I hope those new gun owners take the time to learn how to safely use them and support firearm ownership.

Over 250 sights I was looking at were sold in one day. Other parts are non existent. Rifles on back order everywhere
Huge # of ccw permit holders buying that aren't "called in".

We've never had a food shortage scare like a few months ago.
Let that happen for 6+ months and we'll see this country turn inside out.

I hope that’s not the case, however, I find myself growing more cynical every day

Even if it is there is no real negative, if the person is anti 2a they would have voted and carried themselves that way without a gun. At the worst this just helps gun manufacturers and small businesses in America. At the best it shows a few of those people that guns are not the evil they think they are.

There's a lot of first time buyers. I'm hearing taxpayers living in the cities are scared s***less. Hopefully these new owners will become firm proponents of the 2nd Amendment.
It's not just city dwellers, some from rural environments are getting nervous also. A friend of mine that has farmed his whole life, doesn't hunt, had no interest in firearms and didn't own any said his wife was "very insistent" that they purchase at least one gun and the ammo to feed it.

Went to my local Gun Store yesterday to pick up an order. It is a small shop and he only allows three people in the store ata a time. There was a line of six guys outside standing in the sun waiting to get in. I left and am going to go there right now before he opens. He told me he would be there at 9:30 AM and let me in early. He is selling more guns in one month than he sold all last year. He said it takes him hours at night after he closes to keep up with the paper work.

My sense of survival is just as strong as anybody’s out there and I will certainly not go down without a fight.I would unselfishly do what I could at my age to defend this great country of ours against an outside foreign threat. But I ask myself would I really want to still be alive if Americans turn against each other for basic survival?

YES I worked very hard for what little I have and I’m not going to give it up easily
