John update 4 all you "Uncles"

John shot in the CMP State Air Championship today just East of Indy. Difficult conditions with the kids so tight they touched and poor lighting, but John did real well comming in State Runner Up also second in standing and 1st in kneeling. I think he spooked a little at first because he has been shooting a lot of electronic targets on college ranges so touching both people beside you kinda messed with him. As the match progressed he got stronger and stronger. I'm telling you guys if a college would take a chance on him he would really surprise them. He is just rough around the edges, but a kid with under 3 years precision air 2nd in state. He also has a good shot at JO with the score he shot at UK. With some polish he could be a gem. I'm just proud of him. Thanks again guys for helping him, and if you ever need a partner he'll shoot with you no questions asked, any gun you need, he does, air, smallbore, 22 rimfire, modern Militarily, M1, and even ventage Sniper. He has had podium finishes in all of those this year. The best thing is he is honors in school, and just got his student pilots license. His head is screwed on right. Good job!
Cutting a wide swath for a young man. Keep up the good work. I am sure good things are heading your way.

Get'em Killer. You're crushing it on a broad scale. Keep up the Great work. Good seeing you tonight.
Yeah he drove me home and hoped to the SIRPC dinner. The kids vol. to help serve the meal, do the raffles, and clean up. Then the club donates money to the youth program. John said the 50/50 raffle winner donated his $ to the kid program. John was late getting there because we stayed for the awards. I thought he earned getting them. It's things like this which help make shooting accessible to so many of these kids. Thanks for going to the dinner ans supporting youth programs.

Great Q from Coach Jamie and many thanks to the whole crew that made the feast possible.

I passed by the table ( a cruising geezer I wuz) and all 8 or so young shooters were smiling large and having a gooood time. I had this brain eruption: so asked them all something akin to what a smiling group like them would be called (remember most had competed that afternoon) yeah, wait for it - Trigger Happy sez I. You could hear the clicking of the rolling eyeballs all the way across the room.
Yeah "I crack myself up"*** at times. Oh well, it takes so little to amuse me.

Congratulations to John and really both of you for all the time and hard work it takes to get to this point. He just keeps getting better and better, and looks like he is having lots of fun doing it.
Thanks for the update and the pics.

"Congratulations to John and really both of you for all the time and hard work it takes to get to this point."

Don't underestimate the underlined part. He did not learn his dedication, character and desire to succeed by accident! Parental example of character goes a long way. Our world needs more supportive parents like you.

Thank you for the great report! I’m glad to hear John is doing well! He’s a talented guy, blessed with a devoted mother. You make a great team!
Josh:)
