Jewell Trigger Replacement?

Now that jewell Triggers is gone. Is there a Bench Rest Trigger available that is not 450 bucks that is a good trigger?

Is this official?

I’ve been hearing a lot of speculation about Jewell triggers.

Are they officially closed?

Any word on parts?

Shilen would be the closest thing in price point, not in quality.

Well their website is gone...that wasn't the case a few weeks ago when they said they were solving a parts problem.

I'm shocked that nobody could/wanted to save such a competitive company with such a seemingly solvable problem.

Im in the same boat as you. So I’ll be following. I bought a shilen trigger. Never used a jewell. Also, I’m new to BR. The shilen has a tiny bit of creep which I can’t seem to get out, (Only other triggers I’ve used are Trigger techs) other than that I like it. The way the trigger is set up though, I feel like something could come loose with how the nuts Hold everything in place, and effect somthing . Either the pull weight, sear engagement or over travel. Mine has not done that though. Could be just me over thinking.

I have a bunch of F-TR rifles, all currently running Jewell HVRTS triggers. I am currently having two more F-TR rifles built and I was "fortunate" enough to obtain two more Jewell triggers right before they became unavailable. However, it is now in my mind to switch the two new rifles to the Bix-n-Andy TacSport PRO-X trigger, and keep the two Jewells as potential replacements/backups for my other rifles. I have heard from various shooters that the TacSport Pro would make a very good replacement for a Jewell. As I understand it, the TacSport PRO-X is the same trigger where Bix-n-Andy came up with a way to better polish some of the internal contact points during the machining process. Both have adjustable pull weights of 3.5 oz to a little over 2 lb. At approximately $250 to $315, respectively, both are a little more expensive than a Jewell, but not nearly so costly as the Bix-n-Andy Competition triggers:

I was lucky. I had a Jewell malfunction and called them after the news of their lost supplier, but while they were still answering the phone. I sent it in and they replaced the sear, works great. Now, poof, they are gone but hopefully not for good. Time will tell. Adversity for one creates opportunity for others. Lets see what fills the void. Whoever tries has a great product to try and match.

Greg, by total dumb luck I recently stumbled on to a small stash of Jewell triggers in the most unlikely of places. Forrest Gump's analogy to life and a box of chocolates would be appropriate. ;)

Good shootin' -Al
