Jewell trigger dead after three shots

I don't shoot Jewells anymore, but that's not because of this thread. If you had Trigger Tech 700 triggers on your site, I could have given you 3 sales in the last couple of months.
Everyone has their own likes/dislikes. I drank the TT Kool-Aid when they first came out. Tried one and I didn't care for it. Sold it and replaced it with the gold standard, Jewell! I just like the way Jewells feel. I have them on all my rifles except a Ruger American. For its' purposes I get by with the stock Ruger trigger.

I wonder if the OP will ever be back with as much piling on that’s happened here.

I’ve had or have several Jewell BR triggers that ranged from okay to fantastic. No real bad ones to speak of. The best of the bunch is the one that came with my 25 year old Panda.

True. The point I was trying to get at was that if you only offer Jewell, and people move to New-Brand-X (for whatever reason), you should offer those too. Have something to sell me, rather than let sales go to a different vendor.

I want someone to be my "Trigger Guy" and not just "my Jewell Guy".

jewel has been a solid product over the years as well as others things do change yes but historically they are ok. one thing i will say is this if you over pressure a action a jewel will physical bust rendering it un operable requiring new internal parts, one specifically. did you over pressure the rifle one of the three shots? perhaps the last shot

Actually 30.-31 grns of V113 is kinda over pressure on the ppc, but it doesn't eat triggers. I think more may be broken with blanked primers.

Jewell makes a good trigger, especially for the money. I have paid top dollar for the best stuff and in many cases had to put work into them. If you want something perfect out of the box every time, prepare to be disappointed no matter what it costs. Stop replying to this thread like the op has done and it will fade away....

It's simple Adam, the Original Poster (Woofie) is letting this thread run it's course, and he doesn't care about it any longer. You and everyone else has kept it alive. I know you all are smarter than that and could start a new one that would probably lift the Jewell company up to godly status. You all should do like Alex suggested. As it dies off it gets buried in the archives. Or you can just keep piling on for your own self gratification.

Well, josh ordered a new bottom safety jewell trigger right out of great scott shooter’s inventory and sent it to me to inspect for him. The trigger arrived within 2 days just like every time you order one from great scott. The trigger is tip top in every way. I installed the trigger in a rifle i was going to shoot on friday and set it at 1lb exactly on my somfy tec tension gauge. I do this before i blueprint one for a few reasons, one is after a few hundred rounds i can see if it holds its setting, and the main reason is i can see inside if it has any abnormal rubbing that will lead to poor accuracy. This trigger was good on both tests as you can see. There is nothing in the world wrong with a new production jewell under the second generation, and buying one from great scott is like hitting the easy button. Here are some pics to show any abnormal rubbing- there is none. This is after 110 rounds and probably double that in dry firesBBCE56C8-95B4-4DA1-8AED-8046ECF678A5.jpegF2390D04-7EDD-4E83-9022-7F815945ED97.jpeg
