Been a while since I posted. Went on a vacation to England, and got a parting gift on the way back home....tested positive. So between the vacation and the recuperation, I haven't been in the woods in a while. But got these. Leaves are just about off the trees, so I'll switch to the rifle soon. I'm bustin out the 17hmr which I haven't used in probably two years. It's wicked accurate. So if I miss, I don't get to blame anything but me. But it's got a bull varmint barrel which is real top heavy. It's a little difficult to keep slung over your shoulder.

But here's a couple of fox squirrels taken with the 870

Brow broken off and the main beam is broken off just ahead of his G3.
Either way a nice buck with a decent size body on a good double lunger. Dropped out about 75 yards from where I stuck him.

My 12yo got her first deer on Sunday! Taken in northern MN with a ar in 6.5 grendel with a 120 nosler at about 150 yds. That is one of the ars that some of the guys on this forum helped me get working properly, so thanks a bunch again everyone for that. (Ar stoner upper, 18” xcaliber barrel, anderson lower) She didn’t get a shot last year, this year she sat through drizzle and wind in the 30s and made a great shot on the deer as he slowly walked across the pipeline clearing. Definitely not a trophy, but will make plenty of steaks and sausage. It was a pretty fun weekend!

2 year streak of not shooting any deer ended Sunday morning in Hunt county Texas, shot her at 100yds with a Rem 700 .243 win 100gr core lokt. I was shooting from a pop up blind using the flimsy window as a support, left the shooting stick in the cabin, pulled my shot and missed the lungs which resulted in me using my pistol for the coup de gras.
