It's that time of year. Let's see those kills.

Congratulations! What unit were you in? We're heading to WY. for mule deer in November. We usually hunt the first few days of the season. Going mid to late season this year.

This was a short Ohio archery season for me this year. Two short sets in the stand and I harvested a decent 8 point. This is my fourth year archery hunting and my third and best buck yet. I plan to take a nice doe for the freezer and then I’ll hunt the PA gun season after Thanksgiving.

Oregon deer are skiny!!
Allex has been in deer every day since Saturday, today he got it done.
He has put in the work to the end, holding off until the very end.
His week is up and it's time to head back to the mundane, but hes not leaving empty handed.

There's a 4 or 5 y.o. spike buck a mile or so from here that has near 16" long spikes. So with that in mind,I shot a 2 y.o. spike the other day. I know the deer around here,he needed to go.

7-1/2 yds, from a ground blind with PSE compound. Nothing much to it. One of my boys bought this grinder for us a few years ago. Am very proud of it,after 50 years of cranking a handle. Mixed in a little bit of local Gunnoe's sausage. Didn't put any seasoning on it this time. Figured the little bit in the sausage would suffice. We'll hit it with some fresh ground black pepper when cooking.

Gonna make cheese/deer biscuits for my Gbabies.

One doe with a new bow this year. Mathews V3 31 70lb 30” draw. Shooting a 515gr arrow with fixed blades at 286fps. Was slightly quartering to me and arrow didn’t slow down much passing through the shoulder blade…it’ll be my elk setup next year hopefully.

have a few decent bucks I’m waiting on to start sniffing around during daylight…hopefully soon!

Tagged two after they came out of the woods to graze in a pasture. 125 yards, my buddy and I set up on them. Backstop looks good. They keep grazing, oblivious to their impending demise. I said "let's wait until they're both broadside, I'll count and we'll both fire on three". He says, "sounds good". We're both looking through our scopes and I realized I was on 3x. Boosted it to 9x and then just waited until both were broadside. Made the count, pulled the triggers and they dropped where they stood. Paperwork, gut job and head for the butchers. It's a wonderful thing when a plan comes together. e-big-grin.gif

Curious how black tail meat is compared to whitetail. In any event, that one looks like he’ll be great eating.

4 ghost chillies, 2 really good hot sauces, molasses, soy, vinegar, garlic, brown sugar, dash of liquid smoke.
Guaranteed to leave your O-ring hollar'n for ice cream!
Getting ready to fire up the smoker, been marinating for 2 days.
