It's that time of year. Let's see those kills.

Well I had a big first yesterday. It was -28 ( celsius) no wind and I figured after a week of cold and a day of near perfect conditions that I should get out and call some y20191214_114641.jpg otes. I had a pack of 5, possibly 6 come in up through a draw and split off. With my 6mm AI and a 90 grain sierra TGK chrono'd at 3500 FPS I was able to pull off my first triple. Not big game..... I know, none the less i was pretty excited.

Thanks, but I do believe luck has a big part in it. And it's also taken 7 years to do this. I have had two doubles in that time. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would ever shoot a triple. Here in Souther Saskatchewan ( all of canada for that matter) suppressors are prohibited as are AR platforms ( for field use). I think a person ups the odds if they are able to use the above mentioned. Maybe if I'm lucky I can do it again in 7 years!

A buddy took me out for the annual Flounder Run in Galveston. We caught 40... brought home our 2 fish limits and made some nice fried flounder poboys.

I returned the favor and took him pig hunting. We saw a few pigs, and he decided to take this boar (250#) with a nice head shot. He was a little low on his shot and must have clipped the main artery. An inch higher and you only see a small drop of blood... there was a gallon of blood forming a small stream just outside of the picture! The entry wound is the the left side, which is side that pig fell over and bled out. Shooter could see the blood pouring out through the night vision.

Shooter is freakishly tall (6'4") so doesn't do the boar justice. I was waiting for neighbors to call in a Sasquatch sighting.
