This makes me wonder…

I bought both a Redding FL neck bushing die and a non bushing die both from RW for the 6mmAR.

I called Redding some time back, to purchase more dies for a buddy and they said call RW directly, that they wouldn’t sell those to me.

If RW has now closed up shop. I wonder if Redding would now sell those dies openly.

They are excellent dies for Lapua 6.5 Grendel brass.

I doubt it. When I called Redding a while back with the same request, they told me Whitley physically has the tooling that he sends them when he would get an order, then Redding would send the tooling back with the dies.

As for dies the 6 AR I just bought will be served with 6ARC dies as soon as they get here. We shall see. Just have to give it a try. The ARC is .03 shorter and the shoulder of the 6AR is a couple thousands smaller. No problem setting the die off the shellholder to get what I want. If need be I could use a Grendle FL die as a body die.

Well so far I have the die set so the action will close and extraction is easy. going to load up some 58 gr. Vmax's and see what happens. Gonna be a short OAL.

I gave up a while back and went another direction, just thought I'd post an update for anyone else looking in the future.

Yeah, I’ve been checking here and there over the past few months hoping it would fire back up…. No such luck apparently.

6mm fat rat is the same cartridge, give Lee Wells a call if looking for dies, I believe Hornady makes them. Accurate and reliable rifles in Newton Ia.

Wonder why every one refuses to call Widden Gun works and use his dies? Great dies.

I have several Whidden dies, and they are great. If Widden made a 6mmAR FL sizing die, I'd have one already.

6 ARC die works perfectly for my 6AR. The rifle shoots really well also with the 58 gr. VMax's on top of 32.0 grains of BLC2. Happy as I figured a 1-8 twist would work against me. just under 3200fps.

For some reason I thought the 6mm Predator was made from 6.8 brass.

The predator is made from 6.5 Grendel brass,
the tac 6 is made from 6.8 brass
