Is Robert Whitley of 6mmAR.com still around?

I had my wife take some photos of what I have at home. Do these look like 40deg shoulders, meaning Turbo 40?

Yes, Redding makes the dies. I spoke to them and they said I have to order through Mr Whitley who has the proprietary tooling, he send it to Redding with my order, then they send the tooling back to him with my die. Crazy.
I talked to him or his son a few years ago. In the last 6. They was super expensive to buy through him

If anyone is interested I have everything you need to shoot the 6AR in an AR platform with the exception of the lower. Bullets, brass, dies, etc. are all available for sale.

Lloyd
Barrel by chance ?

It’s basically a blown out 6PPC. Get an inexpensive 6ppc FL non-bushing die for the initial pass to take the neck from 6.5 to 6. From there on out use a 6.5 grendel bushing die with a .267-.269 bushing. I’ve become fond of the Wilson FL bushing dies.

I use the same sizing die for 6.5 grendel, 6AR, and 22AR. For the 22AR I use a 6PPC and 22PPC to get the neck to where it needs to be. Works like a charm.

For seating, you can use a 6ppc die in a standard press or swap out the stem on a Wilson 6.5 grendel hand seater to use in an arbor press.

AR15 Performance has a set of Hornady 6mm Predator dies in the close out section. They are the same as 6Grendel, 243lbc, 6ar etc. That is where I got mine a few years ago.

This info is no longer accurate. Someone, (me), just ordered what the website says was the last set.
I was hoping to find a cheaper option, but I am glad to have found this one.
Thanks for the info!

I received the 6mm Predator die yesterday.
Just for fun, I formed a case with it. It is awesome!
I will use it exclusively for forming and continue reloading with my bushing dies.
Forming with the bushing dies left a weird looking spot at the case mouth. That is gone now.

I have a 6AR, bought from Robert Whitley in PA. Fred / Sabreco did the chambering, etc. It is a 6.5 Grendel necked down to 6mm. When I bought my upper, Robert sold the die set as well. Redding. It is a remarkably accurate rifle. Bartlein 1:8 bbl. I used H335 and 75g Vmaxes, AA brass. Let me know if you need starting load data.

Just checked again, after months of unreturned phone calls and emails, and the website appears to no longer exist.

www.6mmar.com

I gave up a while back and went another direction, just thought I'd post an update for anyone else looking in the future.
