Inside neck lube, Hornady One Shot vs graphite/moly

For bullet seating. Dry lubes seem messy, need to be wiped off the outside necks, and don't seem to adhere very well especially on new/clean brass.

Does Hornady One Shot on a Qtip perform any better/worse for accuracy and ES?

Most of the best shooters seem to use dry graphite/moly lubes. But nowhere have I seen anyone report One Shot compared to the other choices. Does it matter?

Only ran a nylon brush down the neck inside.
Can’t even say I did it every time. Never had a problem and most importantly the targets were quite acceptable.

tried the redding graphite lube, I am OCD as crap and couldn’t handle getting the graphite everywhere. I feel like the moly 21st century sells would be the same?

My current method is 2 coats of neolube on the inside of necks with a foam tipped applicator, dries in seconds. I apply before running through the expander mandrel and enough stays on there for the bullet seating operation.

i have no input as to how this shows up on target yet but I can tell you my seating pressures are very consistent.

Waxy lubes will make you think your scope is broken and finger tight. The 21st century moly lube kit works good
Hmm.....I've had more than a few range sessions where I think to myself...WTF....is my scope loose?? I use Imperial sizing wax to lube necks before running over a mandrel. I clean out the lube with a q-tip....maybe not good enough. Time to try something else.

I use Mobil 1 on a Q tip . Tommy Mc

I've been in the process of trying different methods of inside neck lubes. Graphite, Lanolin, wax on ID, wax on mandrel only, etc.

For me, a little lanolin+alcohol mix on a q tip is super fast. There's hardly any left on the inside of the neck. This is my winning combination.

I tried the graphite for my mandrel and bullet seating. I found that my SD was actually better when I just used the powder residue inside the neck for lubrication.

Agree on fired brass. On new brass or brass that has all the carbon removed (like SS pin tumbling) I just tumble the brass in corncob with Nufinish added and it puts just enough of a coating to make the bullets seat smoothly. New Lapua brass is the worst in my experience unless you use something for the first loading/firing.

I usually use one shot, since I use an expander mandrel after sizing the case. But recently I have been trying a dry graphite lube, I have some 7.5 shot with graphite lube on them, stick an old case neck brush in the cup and one in and out of the case. Bullets get a dip(base) in the cup of shot also. Really smooths the seating in new brass.

I Get single digit SD & ES using One shot on a QueTip,in 6BRA with 105 grain bullets. I use the Cuetip before sizing, then use a plastic brush on prep center after resizing, Chamfering

I simply add graphite to a small container filled with steel BB's. Simply stir container with base of bullet then seat. Does it help? Can't say. Just part of my routine. Seem to make seating smoother.

Yeah, it's been working for me too at least out to 500 yards so far, in 6.5x47L w/123s & 130s.

Experimenting with a load cell and a hydraulic press is why i choose this method. Gotta keep on testing.
I found that I definitely have gotten the most consistent readings on seating pressures using this product. Which would indicate to me, that I am getting consistent neck tension. I do turn my brass also. I’ve been testing and testing trying to achieve the most consistent neck tensions I can through the use of neck turning, mandrels and lubricants. Thus far, this product has worked the best for me.
