Initial impressions of 140gr Nosler RDFs

Lately I have been a touch dissapointed in the variances I have seen in the 142SMKs so, I thought I would give the newer 140gr. RDFs a spin in my Creedmoor.
My initial impressions where that the BC is fantastic and the uniformity from base to ogive where very good. Cant say that about the 142SMKs I have received lately.
Nosler in my eyes have always produced some nice bullets so, assumed these where no different and I was right.
They measured in length very uniformly to 1.410 the same as the Berger 140 so, I tossed together a light load in QL of 41.3 H4350 at a coal of 2.840 and a base to ogive to 2.200 which for my barrel was a .030 jump.
I got decnt speed at my 77* today averaging 2723fps with a SD of 7.9
Looking forward to pushing these guys much faster and seeing what shakes out.
Here a group from the above load.

I cannot knock the 142SMKs to bad though as today my son bested my group shooting a .14 (3 shot group) using 42.1 H4350 2.813 coal/2.224 ogive.
They where averaging 2762fps with a SD of 11.1
Here is my sons nice shooting today.

All loads where 1.910 case trim length using Fed LR Match primers. The 142s where loaded into some FF Hornady brass and the RDF 140s into some FF Win. Brass (both annealed and neck sized only)

Looking forward to next weekends shoot with the RDFs although I have always liked the SMKs. I will probably shoot both. :)
