Ingenuity Precision powder trickler

Thank you so very much! I will try that tomorrow. I am still waiting for a response from IP on trying to buy his cup. Again thanks so much for getting me going again.
This how I stopped the kernel bounce with my 419 cup and I have not had one piece of powder escape since over thousands of rounds…
Cost = nil since I already had a roll of 3M masking tape. Just a couple of short strips to line the bottom, then rub a small amount of graphite door lock lube over the tape to kill any stickiness and wipe clean… ready to load.

I’ll chime in again regarding the IP powder cup. It really is a cool item. The first one I bought arrived with a slight defect pictured here…

I let Paul know and he immediately offered to send a replacement. He also assured me there was no way the cup was going to “unravel” due to that small defect in printing (which was actually my concern). I opted to just keep it and use it. I tried to cut the offending “thread” off with a razor but the angle was too hard to get at, so I ignored it. It seemed to work ok. Only the occasional stray kernel wanting to hang up. Just tap the cup one extra time and it’s no biggy.

I even ended up ordering a 2nd cup a couple weeks ago just because I like them so much. It arrived 100% perfect, no defect. I keep one cup on my spare scale to use to confirm powder weights from the other tricklers etc.

Well I finally got tired of the occasional kernel hanging up on that little defect in the original cup (it was on the side of the cup that I pour from with my right hand). So I emailed Paul and offered to send it back to him for the replacement he had originally mentioned. To my surprise, and this is not the first time this has happened, I received a phone call from Paul. He kindly let me know that you can actually push the inner liner portion of the cup out the bottom, turn it around and reinsert it which ever direction you prefer. I had no idea you could do that! I verified it and just like he said it’s completely “reversible”. What an ingenious little design. I should add that Paul DID send me a replacement cup anyway, even though I told him his “tip” was basically “problem solved” for me.

So long story short, Paul is a swell guy. He’s clearly very focused on providing excellent customer service. And as we all know, his products are quite ingenious, hence the name “ingenuity” I suppose!

The V4 is an amazing machine. IMO, it’s really the best money that can be spent (currently) on dispensing powder. I’ve seen a lot of weird “hate” for the V4 from folks on forums. My ownership experience with it has been 100% positive. Metronome-like consistency and accuracy. However, I am one of those rare individuals who actually reads and follows the instructions. Also, I do not find doing powder calibrations, adjusting tilt angles, and using an app to control the device, to be “triggering” issues in any way. I swear, some folks really need to show us all, on the doll, exactly where the ATV4 hurt them!
This is my experience as well… it is easy.. it takes a few minutes to switch powder but I’ve improved so its no big deal.. 15 minutes. I get to target in 10-15 seconds…. Heck the set-up isnt much more than the RCBS

I just received my IP trickler and was getting used to it today. It works fine with Varget and the 7545 disk. However when I try VV N135 and the 567 disk it runs for a while but jams before the charge is completed.
Anyone have a similar occurrence and how was it rectified?

Try it with the 7545 disk. I think you’ll have better luck.

I was following the chart and the slots of the 7545 are larger.
I looked at all the disks looking for one with smaller slots as the 567 disk picks up two kernels at a time a I thought that might be the problem. Thank you for the suggestion and I certainly will in the morning. Thanks again!

I did like you but with a thin piece of craft foam, it works great. I have a thin piece of silicone mat around but cant find it, thats what I was going to use.
