Adams v3 trickler question.

Which Tripp Lite conditioner is best suited to be dedicated to a satorus, the 1200, 1800 or 2400?
Thanks guys!

Over several days the scale had drifted up .5 or so in displayed weight. As a result I was loading .5 light.
The FX120i auto-corrects for zero. That's why I suggest throwing to a separate pan, then dumping that into your zeroed pan on the scale. When you place the empty pan on your scale it will correct any zero difference automatically. If it doesn't correct, you will know it right away and can re-zero manually. Another way could be to position your thrower over the scale and dump directly into your zeroed scale pan(just like the V3 autothrow, duh). As far as a line conditioner, I purchased one of these, https://www.costco.com/cyberpower-1...-greenpower-technology.product.100277321.html, from Costco, it works pretty well.

It autocorrects but it will loose/change calibration if left on for several days.
This balance is a Magnetic Force Restoration design. It doesn't "drift". You probably have a dusty house or there are air currents or other environmental factors at play.

I don't leave mine on for days as it's not required. But if I did, I would still wipe the platen and cup every day unless the balance was in a housing to keep out everything.

Watch the video I posted earlier on how to setup your scale.. You should be trouble free unless you have environmental issues.

I read what you are saying but it not my reality. I have seen my scale change measures over time repeatedly. No big deal as I reset the scale to zero, but it happens.

If what you are saying is true, what’s the need for the recalibration program in the fx120i?

I calibrate my FX-120i when I move it around, which is about every time I use it, just for my peace of mind. I let it warm up for about a half hour, calibrate and do my work. That may take an hour or several hours. During that time, I never calibrate it. I may hit the zero button after many loads, but now I take the time to wipe the cup every once in a while. I also keep a sharp eye out for errant kernels of powder that my hide on the platen. The sneaky dogs.

Not always true. Environment plays a large part. I leave mine on 24x7. It gets checked if it goes more than a week between uses or if it has been moved. I use it with an ASTM Class 1 weight. The absolute most it has ever moved since May of 2019 (when I purchased my last scale) is 0.002 grams. Most times it is dead on.

What matters most as far as I can tell is room temp. If the temp swings more than 5 degrees F scales will change. I say this with confidence as in the past I would allow the HVAC to shut down using a programmable thermostat which would in turn cause larger swings in temp. My scales would change accordingly. After buying a hygrometer and noticing a swing in humidity, I set the thermostat to just run normal. The scales stopped moving.

It definitely does not happen all of the time but it happens for me. It may not happen for others. I have changed my loading habits and now confirm calibration before every session. The temp in my basement is pretty stable but it is not climate controlled. Really no need for it. I prefer to leave my scale on so that I don’t have to wait for it to warm up. If I am in a hurry and don’t have time to warm up, I will check it periodically with my calibration weight. Most of the time if their is a change, it’s no more than .04.

I have the auto trickler v3 setup. I do not have the auto throw powder dispenser at the moment. Can I stick the tray and partially fill it with my manual powder thrower and place it on the scale for the v3 to finish the job? Or you cannot put a partially filled pan on the scale?

Thanks
look at this thread http://forum.accurateshooter.com/th...s-with-new-autotrickler-no-autothrow.3989425/

look for the post where I quoted a response from Adam (in an email to me) that I posted in red text.
