In search of new precision reloading press

The MEC Marksman is a really solid press. It does not "cam over". It is very repeatable if you set your dies up right. I use the Redding shell holders that set the amount of the case that is inserted into the die. Just be sure the shell holder and the die make contact at the end of the stroke.

MEC's stand for the Marksman is awesome.

Most of my brass is has a TIR of 0.0005” on the neck and shoulder after shooting, but it varies from dead nuts perfect to as much as 5 thou TIR after sizing.

What tools and method do you use for sizing?
Sizing using a Whidden bushing die and then a 21st century mandrel for neck tension. Then I seat my 6.5cm using an arbor press and Wilson die. With the 6 dasher I use the Whidden competition seating die in the Hornady press

Area 419 press just announced. They claim its unparalleled in accuracy/ precision. The price is quite precise ! ! !

Is the Co-Ax a hard stop press? Or a cam over??

Didn’t see an answer to this, but the only way I can get 001-002 bump with the coax is with cam over. The Whidden click adjustable click rings really come in handy for shoulder bumping.

Interestingly, I’ve found cases actually *grow* a thou or so just before they start to bump. I’ve been told the Coax shouldn’t need to cam over, but mine definitely does with Whidden dies.

I also cant just “set once & forget.” I AMP anneal every firing and the bump is never the same without minor adjustments.

Good to see that others have similar experiences as I am
